When someone mentions the Andelt crew I always just smile and think back to quite a few years ago when I met all the boys and remember how tiny they were and thinking to myself, “gee, Angie sure does her hands full with all those boys.” But then, as I watched them grow, it warmed my heart seeing how much love their family has and how much they adore and take care of their momma. These boys are all hard workers and it feels like such a feat to get them all together and smiling in one picture. I kid you not, they’re so nice to each other when the camera is up but those smiles quickly turn into jokes and jabs once it falls down. We stood there talking and giggling about whose in trouble the most, who is the most athletic and whose the smartest out of the crew but at the end of the day, I’d agree that they’re ALL good kids with hearts full of love for each other who’d be there and have each others backs no matter what.
The Andelts are from the Crete, Nebraska area and like I mentioned, I’ve known them for years. It’s fun meeting up but I rarely get to see all the boys together. I took Zane’s senior pictures a few years ago and this year I was lucky enough to get to know his brother Ames. Oh boy, they’re totally different kids but they’re both so quiet unless you get them on the subject of trap shooting!
For their session we decided to meet at a farm, because of course, they’re farm boys! I knew I’d have better luck and more natural smiles if we did pictures of them in their favorite environment so we just went with it. After the camera got put away we tried pulling apart tall grass (it’s at thing, and it’s tough, trust me!) and just chatted while we watched the sun set on a nice late fall evening in Nebraska. Honestly, it’s my favorite thing and one of the many reason’s I went into photography. Because dusk is my favorite time of day and watching the earth slowly fade into the night and all the animals settle for the evening is just magical.
And something new I’ve been enjoying is to give you guys a little outfit inspo from sessions. I’ve got some below I’ll link to Amazon if you’re looking for something fun to wear to your future sessions!
