First of all, one of my absolute favorite parts of photographing senior pictures is getting to know the high school seniors. I love hearing all of their fears, excitements, trials and triumphs or their upcoming senior year. Sometimes it’s nice to be reminded what seniors have to go through versus what I went through my senior year. I can remember, my senior year my biggest concern was prom and if my besties were in my classes so we could plan free periods around our gossip. Today, seniors have so many things on their plate and with all of the restrictions, it’s sometimes scary and overwhelming!
Bree wanted to plan a wheat field session for her senior photos. I completely saw her vision and was thrilled to create some magic! We started talking about ideas for outfits and I love that she choose a beautiful flowy white dress. It was the perfect pop of color to bring out her flawless skin tones and made the entire sunset session wrap into the most beautiful images. We chose to work about an hour before sunset to ensure we’d have that golden light to give us the light and airy look we were hoping for. In the past seven years I’ve been in business, my editing and shooting style has changed so much and lately I’ve been finding myself shoot as a light and airy photographer. This was the perfect situation that my style elevated the final images so much!!
Bree is a senior who goes to Wilber-Clatonia high school here in Wilber, Nebraska. She’s a woman who doesn’t sit around wait for good things to come her way, she makes them happen! Not only does she juggle school and work but in her free time she is active in tennis, band, choir, show choir, jazz band, TCBY, FBLA, NHS, One Act, speech, art club, Wolverine Leadership Academy, softball, and youth group. One of my favorite things about high school is that you get to try all these things and can be active and find out what hobbies or clubs bring you joy. In conclusion, this is the only time in your life where your responsibilities list is smaller so please high schoolers, do all the things. Be active like Bree! 😉
