Senior pictures are such a special way to celebrate an exciting time in life, a huge transition year in your life. This summer, I got to photograph Danica and Danessa, beautiful senior twins, at the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln. The mix of cool architecture, pretty green spaces, and the twins’ awesome outfits made this session one to remember.
Why the Nebraska State Capitol is a Great Spot for Senior Pictures
The Nebraska State Capitol is one of my favorite places for senior pictures. It’s a perfect mix of history and style with its marble details, tall columns, and brick exteriors. There are so many cool spots around the Capitol to get different looks, all in one place at the same property or right near it. Whether it’s close-up shots of the amazing building or pictures in the tree-filled areas, this place has it all.
One of the best surprises at the Capitol? Their friendly Cameron the Capitol Cat! If you’re lucky, you might see this sweet cat lounging in the sun on the south side of the property.
Danica and Danessa: Double the Fun
Danica and Danessa showed off their personalities with outfits that matched but weren’t identical. It’s always fun to photograph twins because we can take pictures of them together and also focus on their individual styles. Their bond as sisters really came through in the photos, and we had such a great time capturing both playful and serious moments.
