What I love most about photographing Nebraska family pictures is getting to know the kiddos. I love getting to watch them grow and change. I’ve been so grateful for the families that I’ve met through the years. Often times I get to see brand new babies quickly change into busy toddlers. The Bruss family I’ve watched grow through the years and I appreciate each and every family or portrait session with them.
The Bruss family from Beatrice, Nebraska is filled with love, laughter and of course a little danger when those two boys start playing. When they reached out wanting to shoot a family portrait session I said absolutely and we started planning! We wanted to shoot something close to home so we choose one of our exclusive farms near the Wilber, Nebraska area.
I’ve known Tasha and Mitch since high school, so to say they’re friends is an understatement. They’ve always been so much fun and when they added little Lyle to their family the fun continued. I shot Lyle’s newborn pictures and have taken all of his annual pictures since then. This year we took third birthday pictures of Lyle and then created his cute customized birthday cards to get sent out. This year his birthday theme was candy and sweets so ending our session with suckers only felt right! (psst, future clients, I almost always give out suckers to your littles)
During our family pictures Lyle ran around and was so busy having fun with daddy. Little boys never sit still so the trick to capturing their smiles is to get interactive with them and get them playing a game. Lyle didn’t skip a beat and loved counting and jumping around.
