I get a lot of requests from high school seniors that they want their senior pictures in flowers. It’s so hard to explain that flowers are so hit or miss here in Nebraska. The weather plays a huge part in what is blooming and how much blooms throughout the seasons. It’s currently spring time in Nebraska and my favorite part about all the new blooming season is the flowers that are growing in the fields and ditches.
This spring our Class of 2023 Senior Reps celebrated our first meet-up with these stunning purple flowers. The day started out super cloudy and I was concerned we were going to have to reschedule. To get ready for these flower pictures with our group of seniors it was fairly easy. Once we finalize that we actually had flowers to shoot with we sent our a message explaining outfit options as well as suggestions for other things that would coordinate for the girls. I love that we choose white shirts because it was so easy for girls to pull outfits from their closets. I do my best to choose outfits that the girls already own and pairing them with jeans worked out fantastic to keep everyone matching but not twinning. I LOVED how stunning it all came together.
After shooting all of the gorgeous flower group shots we buzzed over to another local location and it included a barn! Another favorite spot that everyone wants to shoot at always includes barns.
We went with light colored pastels and the girls naturally pulled together blues and pink tones! I typically suggest grabbing a few extra so we can see what works best with everyone once we get these. The girls NAILED the stylized portion of what we were going for. All the ruffles and frills are totally my jam.
