Katie came to me with the idea of ice cream and tall “white” buildings. Me not knowing much about the city of Lincoln but willing to give it a try, I said let’s go for it! I can’t be the best Lincoln senior photographer if I don’t try right?! I nodded questioning it at first, but I love giving my high school seniors what they want. So, I jumped in ready to tackle something new and different than my normal sessions. Little did I know, it wouldn’t disappoint!! Katie created the most gorgeous images and I LOVED the combo we came up with!
Katie is a senior at Southwest High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. She one of our senior reps along with hosting her regular senior pictures with us. We love that Katie came full of energy and ideas to create magic for her senior session. As a Nebraska Senior Photographer, I often see lots of people booking because they love exact locations on our website. So when we get asked to use new locations, we’re always up for the challenge!
Katie wanted to have her pictures taken with a fun white wall. So I sent her on a little homework assignment to find one and she did! We worked at that location for a little bit to incorporate the ice cream she brought for her senior pictures. Then we traveled over to Holmes Lake to take some more of her senior pictures. We weaved in between the crowds to get some other stunning images of her, and I think we captured everything she had on her list.
Overall, the session was amazing. Katie looked gorgeous, we all survived the and walked away getting everything she wanted on her list crossed off. I cannot wait to share the rest of Katie’s senior year with her doing additional sessions for the rep team and I’m so excited to cheer her on with all of the “lasts” during her senior year.
Senior pictures are something I have been looking forward to since starting high school! Through a friend, I found out about Dirt Road Photography Senior Influencer opportunity and thought it’d be a fun way to get some great pictures with my friends and for my session as well! I had a vision in my head of what I wanted and, with some last minute rearranging, we were able to find locations in Lincoln that not only fit the description of what I was looking for, but also had significance in my life. The biggest tip I have for future seniors would be to PLAN!!! My session went so smoothly due to having everything mapped out-locations, outfits and even props! Don’t be afraid to speak your mind about what you want, it’s your chance to shine!– Katie W.
