2018 DRP Yearly Review | Nebraska Photographer

I swear 2018 flew by. The older I get, the quicker the years seem to go. Sometimes I blink and I cannot believe the month is almost over! It’s now time to start thinking about 2019 and I love to take a few days to reflect on my business as well as look into the future to set goals and aspire to reach milestones I once just dreamed of.

I hope this past year has brought you joy and happiness as well as many new stories to look back on and reminisce over the good times you’ve had. I know so many things have changed in our family. My sister and her husband welcomed their sweet baby girl Timber and she’s going to be celebrating her first birthday soon. My little niece is the greatest gift of 2018 and I adore getting to spend time with her. My parents are still busy with working and hobbies. Mom’s garden was actually scaled back her giant garden to only sized enough to feed a small village instead of a city. Dad’s still collecting accordions and playing polkas with his friends. I always enjoy spending time waltzing around the dance floor to his talented songs.

As for me, well, I’ve stayed on my toes this past year! I traveled to Oregon for a High School Senior Workshop with the fabulous Holli True where I was honored to meet her and other amazing photographers from all over the country. I also spent my entire spring and summer testing the waters with a Senior Rep Team and I loved it so much I’ve launched a whole new program for the Class of 2019! We also shot almost 100 sessions again this year, so that for sure kept us on our toes shooting and editing!!! There are so many other changes happening soon that I have no doubt that 2019 will be an exciting chapter to write and bring you many new fun things to look forward to.

Here at Dirt Road Photography we’re working on adding more high end exclusive products as well as new services to the business lineup. While we absolutely love the vendors we work with, we’re looking at finding more heirloom products and will release those details here soon. What I love most is all of the compliments I’ve received from people who love getting their images printed and displayed in their homes. They love that they now have lasting memories they can pass down through future generations and flip through on a daily basis. Future generations won’t have any tangible prints to hold and enjoy unless we become proactive and print what we’ve taken pictures of. Let’s not be the generation without photos!!

This last year has had so many changes and improvements so I wanted to take the time to reach out and let each and every 2018 client and supporter of DRP to know that I am grateful for your business and encouragement. You’re not supporting a big company but you’re helping to support a local small business owner. Without you, owning a business would be impossible!

I hope to see many of you again in 2019 and I love watching you and your family continue to grow. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for inviting me into your family’s lives. You’re all such a blessing and I love knowing each and every one of you. I truly do value each friendship I’ve made! I wish you a great new year and cannot wait to see what successful things you accomplish in 2019.
