The Haymarket Park area in Lincoln, Nebraska has a ton of options for senior pictures. But my favorite is when seniors choose to look outside the box and not shoot the usual spots in the downtown hotspot. Dylan did just that by getting creative and including his car in the Haymarket area for his own twist on his senior pictures!
For Dylan’s senior pictures we did two senior sessions. This year we created an awesome senior package add-on that includes a mini session when you book your full session. This is a fantastic option for those who might need an additional location or extra half hour of shooting time on a different date. We’ve found this is perfect for athletes as well as those who want a summer and fall look to their images. Or even for those, like Dylan, who want to book something with two completely different looks!
Our first session we held near Wilber, Nebraska at one of our more nature/farm locations. This was so much fun! We’ll share that in another post 😉
The second session was held in Lincoln in the Haymarket Park area. Senior pictures in Haymarket Park are always so much fun. I love shooting there because it’s always a game to see if I can find a way to shoot the same location but with a different perspective!
We started the afternoon underneath one of the bridges in a parking lot. I love the neutral colors so that the cars popped for colors. The most unique part of Dylan’s senior pictures was that he brought his mom’s 1968 Chevy Camaro as well as his own Grand Prix. Classic cars are always the perfect accessory for senior pictures!
Dylan also brought his dad’s really unique vintage jacket! Kraus is their last name so to see this jacket was so special. Bringing personal items to your senior session can be so much fun and create unique and special images for you and future generations to enjoy. His outfits were totally edgy and I loved that he incorporated his own style into his senior pictures! He wore the coolest vintage and new sneakers along with some pretty epic graphic design tees.
After working with the cars we took off and cruised around the main areas of the Haymarket. We shot senior pictures in areas that are more common but tried to really focus on not making it look like the “other” pictures. I love that he was literally up for anything and willingly tried poses that others might feel look weird or awkward.
To end his session we headed up to the top of one of the parking garages. These are starting to become one of the top spots for shooting senior pictures in Lincoln. I love the soft neutral colors that really pop the outfits and make the seniors stand out. The neutral base allows you to really dress up or down any outfit.
