Grand Island Nebraska Summer Senior Session | Nebraska Senior Photographer | Doniphan NE High School | Karsten

I’m so excited to share Grand Island High School Senior session with you today! Karsten is a senior at Doniphan High School and she’s absolutely glowing for her senior pictures. What sets her apart is that she is a go-getter and craves more out of life. Karsten’s senior pictures were an exact mirror of her personality and we held TWO sessions to show off her style!

Grand Island Senior Portrait Session

For Karsten’s senior pictures we held two sessions, one in the summer and one in the fall. For her summer session we went to Grand Island to capture the magic in their busy city. We started by going to a cute vintage looking gas station where the sun was shining bright and the warm summer heat was hitting us. After the gas station we headed over to hit the downtown urban streets. Grand Island is filled with cute little streets and shops in the downtown area. I rarely get out that way often but it was fun to find little nooks of unique spots for her senior pictures. I love that she brought some cute little sunglasses to use, those pictures turned out so fun!

We had a lot of locations we wanted to hit so we were pretty quick shooting at each place. After the gas station and downtown Grand Island spots we buzzed over to a cute little park for her senior pictures. At Stolley Park they were under construction but we still snagged a few fun shots with flowers.

You wouldn’t know it based on the pictures, but we struggled with heavy smoke and clouds that evening. There was a smoke advisory out due to fires out west. There was also a storm planning on rolling in that evening but we jumped through those hoops and ended up with some amazing shots for Karsten.

Camp Augustine Senior Pictures

Our last stop in Grand Island for her senior pictures was at Camp Augustine. This place was incredible!! The place was filled with amazing spots for her senior pictures and I would love to head back up that way for more seniors! Karsten wanted to do her pictures by water so we snuck over to their little pond and snagged some shots just as the sun was setting. She wore a cute little sun dress and I love that she paired it with a cute fitted white tee. The perfect accessory for this outfit was of course a felt floppy hat.
