Maddux’s Senior Pictures at Conestoga Lake | Lincoln Southeast High School | Fishing Senior Pictures

Senior year is one of the most exciting times in a student’s life. It marks the end of high school and the start of new adventures and experiences. Capturing these special moments in photographs is a great way to preserve memories and commemorate this milestone. Recently, I had the pleasure of taking Maddux’s senior pictures at Conestoga Lake, outside of Lincoln, Nebraska. As a senior at Southeast High School in Lincoln, Maddux wanted to incorporate his love of fishing into his senior pictures. I was more than happy to oblige. In this blog post, I will share some of our favorite pictures from that day. And also talk about the experience of capturing these special moments.

It was a beautiful day when we went to Conestoga Lake for Maddux’s senior pictures. At first, we had full sun but we knew clouds were coming. Most don’t think about it, but if you’re shooting at a lake or with water you want to keep in mind that you’ll more than likely need to shoot later in the afternoon when the sun isn’t as bright and causing a reflection on the water.

We knew that with Maddux’s pictures we were going to take a gamble so we lucked out. The sun stayed out just long enough for us to get some awesome sunny shots. Then the clouds rolled in right as we started focusing on the open water shots. Maddux arrived with his fishing gear, and we immediately set off to find the perfect spot for his pictures. We walked around the lake, exploring different parts of the shoreline and taking pictures as we went.

One of my favorite shots from the day was Maddux standing on the rocky shore, holding his fishing rod with the sky and water in the background. Another great shot was Maddux in his element just fishing and having fun. Me and his mom joked we could just leave him here and he’d be totally happy with his senior pictures!

Another great thing about taking senior pictures at Conestoga Lake was the variety of settings we were able to use. We took some close-up shots of him sitting on the piers and rocks as well as some wide-angle shots with the entire lake in the background. We even captured a few candid shots of Maddux laughing and having fun, which really showed off his personality.

Taking senior pictures is always a special experience, but doing it at a location that is meaningful to the student makes it even more special. Maddux’s love of fishing and the outdoors was evident in every picture we took, and I think we really captured his unique personality and interests. It was truly a joy to be a part of this special moment in his life.

Capturing senior pictures is a great way to commemorate this important milestone in a student’s life. By incorporating their hobbies and interests into the pictures, we really get a sense of who they are at this special time. Maddux’s senior pictures at Conestoga Lake were a perfect example of this. By showcasing his love of fishing and the outdoors, we were able to capture his unique personality and interests.

I hope these pictures will serve as a reminder of the many great memories he made during his senior year, and the many adventures that await him in the future.
