est. 2013
Let’s do a fun year in review! It’s incredible to think that we’re closing up the year 2021 already!? It feels like just last week we were getting outside to enjoy so fresh warm spring air! I know I say it every year, but this year drifted by so quickly. It makes the years feel so much shorter, and I have learned to appreciate how quickly time goes by when I take time to soak up every minute of memory making. Let’s take a second to show gratitude for all the blessings we found in 2021.
2022 will be my 9th year as a full time photographer, which means I have spent A LOT of time behind a camera through the years. My absolute favorite part of having my business for so long is getting to watch families grow and evolve. I’ve been so grateful to capture newborn babies at just ten days old grow into busy toddlers and eventually, active elementary kiddos that bring home crafts and can tell us exactly how they really feel! 😉
So, let’s celebrate this past year and look into 2022 by doing a quick review! We’ve got a ton of fun things to highlight! Take a peek below!
75+ sessions. Isn’t that incredible?! We held over 75 sessions in 2021! One of my favorite things to do is sit down and review every single client folder and pull an image from their session to create this visual representation of who I all got to meet. It always inspires me that my clients open their arms and invite me into getting to know their families. I love stepping back and seeing just how many people I get to meet and capture their pictures in different milestones of their lives!
What are we doing different or new in 2022? Not a whole lot! We like to keep it simple and consistent so you know exactly what to expect from us!
We’re keeping our pricing structures the same, and to be completely transparent, we’re keeping 95% of the pricing the same. A few inflations because of shipping and increased cost of supplies have caused those issues but we always strive to give you unique, one of a kind products that you can’t find elsewhere, and in that line of business, we expect some prices to fluctuate. We’re always working on adding more exclusive products as well as new services to the business lineup. While we absolutely love the vendors we work with, we’re always looking at finding more heirloom products so keep an eye on emails as well as our social media accounts as we release more info.
More mini sessions are coming! We hear your cry, and we’re here to announce that we’re doing quarterly mini sessions. So there’s absolutely, one thousand percent, always a chance to snag a sesh at an affordable price. Please keep in mind we’ll give you plenty of notice but these might be your only shots for discounted sessions so don’t wait around, these go quick!! This year we’re hoping to give more fun themed styled mini’s but we love a solid relaxed, “nature” style mini so we’re planning a few different ideas.
It’s always fun to see what the most popular content is on our Instagram page! Check out this years list. Looks like seniors are taking over! With technology comes change and growth, we’re seeing the trend that video content is becoming more popular than actual images so expect more reels and stories from us next year. As nervous as you are getting in front of the camera, that’s how I feel about recording videos of myself! 😉
This past year we have seen a TON of traffic here on our little blog. We are working on staying consistent with giving you a great balance of both tips and tricks as well as highlighting our favorite portrait sessions. As we continue to work on balancing and creating content in 22, we can’t help but brag about how much fun it is to create a blog for you! Here are the top viewed posts of 2021.
One of my favorite clients to capture are always my high school seniors. This year we captured our record number of seniors yet coming in right around 22 seniors! We stayed busy going all over Nebraska to capture senior pictures including locations like the Sandhill Cranes Observatory, Hastings College, Downtown Lincoln Haymarket areas, a fun little park up by Ashland (Memphis Park) and of course all over Saline County chasing gorgeous sunsets and creating magic for seniors that highlight their personalities! Nebraska truly has so many gifts and the landscape can give us so many opportunities to capture the beauty around us without going too far.
Juniors, get ready. Your turn is quickly coming up! We’d love to see you jump on board and become a Senior Influencer in our rep program!
We will forever recommend purchasing PRODUCTS instead of digital images from your sessions. Printed photos hold a very special place in our hearts, to this day, my one prized possession is getting to hold and flip through old photo albums of my family growing up. My job is to provide you, my clients, a service that enables you to have a one stop shop to take the stress out of printing photos. I love delivering fully finished products for you to display and always cherish!
This year our top products included our brand new collage wood framed prints, as well as photo albums and our precious accordion books! A closer top finisher was add on digital images delivered on a cute customized usb drive.
Check out the change through the years! It’s incredible to watch progress and see how things change so much each year. I love watching my growth and seeing all these beautiful new clients!!
I hope to see all of you again in 2022. Hopefully I’ll see a handful of NEW faces this following year! As a small business owner, I’d love if you’d refer your friends so I can continue to grow and thrive throughout this next year! I love watching you and your family continue to grow and change.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for inviting me into your family’s lives. You’re all such a blessing and I love knowing each and every one of you. I truly do value each friendship I’ve made! I wish you a great new year and cannot wait to see what successful things you accomplish in 2022!
